• In june 2024 the opera Betty – the storm was world premierd in Västerås by the Music and Opera University at Mälardalen University.

• In february 2023 orchestra piece Suénos Macabros was world premiered by ADDA Simfonica in Alicante under conductor Christian Lindberg. The Swedish premiere took place in Örebro in Dec 2023 by The Swedish Chamber orchestra, also conducted by Lindberg. The nordic premiere will take place in Tromsø by Norweigan Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra in March 2025.

• In October European Gramophone commissions Sandström’s third trombone concerto. The world premiere will be with the Gothenburg S.O. in 2022-23.

• In October 15^th Stockholm Chamber Brass world premieres Sandström’s Brass Quintet A Winter in Mallorca.

• On September 1^st the opera Nighthawks is world premiered in Piteå. The opera – a contemporary madrigal comedy – is, like the Drottningholm opera The Rococo Machiney in 2016, a collaboration together with the librettist Tuvalisa Rangström.
